SHORT BIO

Joaquín Ortega-Casanova is native of Tíjola (Almería, Andalusia, Spain), a small and beautiful city located in the valley of the Almanzora River.

He received the degree in Industrial Engineering and the Ph.D. in Fluid Mechanics from the University of Málaga in 1995 and 2000, respectively.

He has worked on several Spanish and European competitive projects.

He is currently Associate Professor at the University of Málaga where teaches in different Grade and Master's programs in the field of fluid mechanics.

His main research interests include CFD, FSI, microfluidics, heat transfer and aero-hydrodynamics.
