This lab has a water tunnel with 5m test section, a 50cmx50cm cut section and it can reach water speeds of 0.75 m/s. This allow to study problems with a Reynolds number up to 375000.

The other big equipment in the lab is a closed circuit wind tunnel with 100 cm x 100 cm cross section and 4 m long, and with a maximum wind speed of 50 m/s.

Fluid Mechanics Lab
This lab has some experiments for teaching as for researching designed and built by the group to study vortices and swirling jets. Besides, the department has a scale hidrodynamic tunnel of the one used to study hidrodynamic of vehicles.
